Boreholes, pumps and distribution networks are commissioned once and maintained for decades. Specifying equipment whose spares are held locally, and whose servicing matches the skills available on site, matters more than a marginal gain in efficiency.
Specify for the spares that exist
Standardising on a small number of pump and control models across a client estate keeps a workable spares inventory viable and shortens downtime after a failure.
